It can be frustrating being a child genius. Grown-ups are always telling kids what to do and what to think – but it’s harder with Becky Bexley! Unbelievable things happen in this funny story! She can talk from the moment she’s born! Her mum thinks she’s going crazy when she hears her! And Becky has soooo many questions – for the doctor, the priest and her poor mum! And she has one or two suggestions as well… but will they listen?

The Early Life of Becky Bexley the Child Genius is a fun and comical story about what it’s like to be a kid in a grown-up world, and why children’s voices should always be heard.

MY REVIEW

Diana Holbourn has the most outstanding imagination where no author has ever gone before.

Let’s talk about babies

We expect babies to be babies, loving their bottles of milk, smiling with wind, ween fed gradually with baby food, making sounds, that aren’t quite words, with crawling on their knees around the living room, to bouncing around in their baby Walker.

Let’s talk about baby Becky.

When Becky’s mum gives birth to her in hospital Becky’s mum was shocked to hear her baby daughter talk and so were the nurses and doctors.

Becky is a laugh out loud comical story with being a child in an adult world.

Astonishingly Baby Becky wants her mum to teach her to read and type on the internet.

What’s going to happen when Becky is taken to a mothers and baby group, as other babies there don’t know how to talk.

Becky is a child genius with going to school at the age of one, being quite full of mischief and rather cheeky .

I loved this idea of a baby being able to talk, and walk. I found this book very amusing, with loving every page about what baby Becky gets up to. I would love to know how the author came up with this fabulous idea.

If you are a fan of Rug Rats TV cartoons you will adore this funny book with Becky Bexley.
