MY REVIEW

This is a lovely book with giant words, and lovely big colourful pictures to help children read and to enjoy having fun looking at the illustrations. The book is about a bear with a bare Butt. I can see children having the giggles looking at this beautiful book.

The words maybe a little twisting to say, I’M A BEAR WITH A BARE BEAR BUTT AND A BEAR BUTT BEAR HAVE I, but I believe these words will help young children with their vocabulary. Although Amazon state that this book is for baby to 5 year olds, I would say it’s more for 5 year olds.

John Kane has a very short name. Eight letters in fact.

He’s hoping this will come in handy if he ever becomes famous and has to sign things.
When he was younger he liked to make up stories for his little sister. Jimmy and Bear, who had a broken arm, are still remembered to this day. It was the joy these stories brought that made him want to tell more stories.

He works as a Creative Director in advertising. Which means he gets to direct creative things, which is nice. He also spent 12 years in Australia, so tends to call people ‘mate’ way too much.

His first book I say Ooh You say Aah was released at the beginning of 2018. Jimmy and Bear don’t appear in it but it does have a donkey, which is his second favourite

animal, after a pig. It’s also got pink frilly underpants with yellow spots, just because. His plan is that it won’t be his last.

His Second book, I Say Boo You Say Hoo, published in September 2020!

  1. We love this one. I’d agree on the age rating. To get the most out of it I’d be going for at least 4+ – reception age and above. My 6 year old thought is was brilliant. Mind you her 70 year old grandad was it fits of laughter too!!
