MY REVIEW
A property developer who wanted to by the building Ellie’s grandfather used to live in, but Ellie’s mum refused to sell it to him, as her mum had fantastic plans to turn the building into a cafe.
Ellie’s grandfather used to be a vet who lived and worked in the building. He had a secret he could talk to animals, and he was sent to a mental health hospital because of he wasn’t believed that he could talk to animals.
I do like a bit of magic In books. When Ellie and Blake found an old phone in a trunk in the house, they dialled the numbers written on the phone and if by magic they found they could talk to animals, which was their very own secret.
Ellie and Blake are worried their friend Felicity may have used the special phone.
Ellie finds a hungry fox named Sebastian, who they use to try to find out if their friend has the magical gift to talk to animals. But something drastically goes wrong with their plan.
I know children love magic powers and I’m sure all children will adore Ellie and Blake’s gift so I hundred percent recommend children from the age of 7 to 9 years to read the whole collection.
About author Stella Tarakson

I entered the workforce armed with a law degree, but writing has always been my passion. It didn’t take me long to leave my sensible job and dive headfirst into the uncertain world of publishing – and I’ve loved every minute! I’ve had 40-something books published, and I still get a thrill when I see my name on a cover.
I’ve written educational books, teacher’s resource books, children’s fiction, and non-fiction for both children and adults. I’ve written online resources and I also write mini-documentaries for ClickView. I love researching and writing about things that interest, intrigue and excite me – there’s nothing better than sharing my fascination of the world with my readers!
