MY REVIEW

Scareground is an amazing beautifully written, spooky, magical, adventure that keeps children in suspense. The scenes float into the lives of children in Victorian times, set in Greenwich, London. Fairs in this story were a terrible place. One Tombola Fair has a spider. Ghost were rumoured to be in the creepy Oxleas Wood. In a blue pinafore dress, black boots , Nancy Crumpet, is like a magical fairy playing on the rooftop. With the angry burst of rain that fell like icing sugar, Nancy can hear music, and sees a ballon, that spiralling downwards surrounded by what looked like little black feathers. The ballon disappeared in a storm that she follows to the woods. I desperately wanted to read this fantasy book and what a fabulous ride I have been on. I fell in love with this book set in Greenwhich London as I used to stay there with my Nan during the school holidays.

I definitely recommend Scareground to all children it’s this is one of the best fantasy novels to escape to, with its exciting magical scenes that happen in every chapter.

Angela Kecojevic has the most incredible imagination with finding magical words describing absolutely everything.
